this is just a small list,or check list that she wrote..
actually there is a lot more.
The real thing thats happpening now is…
most of the big bikers..be it male of female riders has been asking her for all those info and details.
for free of course.
GPS coordinate,contacts,phone numbers,plotting and the list goes on.
Well..with just the info and details from another rider that has done it..would it make your ride to the same place easier without knowing what to expect?
or..do you know how to fix a flat tyre?
change your bulp?
clean your air filter?
can you pick up your super expensive bike if you drop it?
Insurance?
Vaccination?
back up plan?
Medivac?
Exit plan?
and my own long list of check list before i venture into another ride..

So guys,girls,makcik,pakcik,abang,kakak,adik…
if you really want to go out there..
riding solo,in small group into the unknown…
make sure u know what u are doing and be prepared.
if you dont,
just hire a guide that would do everything for you.
there is a few from europe countries that provide this services
super expensive of course…
Nothing in life is for free lah…

i have always been told by the elderly ever since i was a kid…

Another solo Adventure rider

Her name is Anita Yusof.
let me share with you her dreams.

setahun yang lalu…dia ada msg aku kat dalam FB.
menyatakan impian dia.
her dream to ride solo to the “Stans ” countries..
aku tanya dia balik…
dah lama bawak motor?
dia jawap tak pernah bawak motor,motor takda,lesen pon takda.
aku cakap balik…Makcik……aku ni bukan driving school.
aku tak ajar orang camna nak bawak motor.
go get a bike,gain some experience and come back to me.

and she did.
lepas 2 minggu dia dtg kedai…
dengan harapan yg tinggi.

Motor baru beli..Lesen baru dapat..

dengan degilnya,semangatnya.
nak belajar mcm mana nak jadi adventure rider.

aku bagitau dia…
nak jadi adventure rider ni tak susah.
tak macam nak jadi overlander atau group riding atau konvoi.
cuma kena banyak membaca,research,planning.

banyak faktor lain jugak…
cuma tak kesampaian kalau aku nak tulis kat sini.
bukan sekadar ada duit,ada cuti,ada motor besar…kau boleh pergi ride mana ja kau nak.

anyway…
sambung cerita…
dia sudi dan sanggup nak jadi student aku.
sanggup menghadapi cabaran…dia katalah.
sebelom memulakan perjalanan..
aku bagi la dia brief dan intro skit…
camna nak handle motor..
camna nak buat plotting,planning,map reading,navigation,packing,choosing the right riding gear.dan banyak lagilah
secara kasarnya..aku turunkanlah ilmu yang aku ada ni…
terasa macham kung fu master la plak….

Selama 21 hari dia meluangkan masa…
dari Malaysia,Thailand,Myanmar,Laos,Sempadan China,Sempadan Vietnam,Cambodia,Thailand dan balik semula ka malaysia.

motor tu tak leh dok diam dah kat rumah….

dan sudah semestinya…

dia sambung ride gi thailand SOLO,
bawak lah sampai Laos,Borneo, Kalimantan…
yang mana rider dan abang kakak motor besar dalam Malaya ni tak berani nak buat solo…
Makcik ni selamba ja ride sensorang…

Lepas aku balik dari Ride Khatulistiwa aritu..
dia ada datang kedai..
dengan Are Nim
sorang lagi anak murid aku yang kaki ride sensorang.
dah jauh jugak dia ride solo.
Habis dah dia pusing sampai ka Laos,Cambodia ngan motor dia sensorang.
baik kapcai mahupon Versys dia.

dia tau apa yg dia nak,apa yg dia nak buat.
aku dah ajar yg terbaik dan prepare her for her big ride.
apa pon terletak pada diri sendiri dan persiapan dia jugak.
